About our Home

I built my home and two guest apartments less than 3 years ago. Here is how the size distribution breaks down: One home, (owners' home) is 2 bedroom 1.5 baths. Queen and double beds, all on one level, with garden/courtyards out each window. Exterior back stairs lead to a rooftop terrace, covered seating area, and art studio. All three of these "casitas" have pressurized, potable tap water, ceiling fans, gas heaters. All three are free to use my wi-fi service (but not my computer), if you can pick it up. Due to a nearby cell tower, some people have brought and used a signal booster of some sort. Others have found the wi-fi signal works sometimes and not others. In my main house, there is no issue, just the two smaller casitas.

Please note: I have two very sweet dogs that live only at the main house. I hope that if you have pets too, I could care for yours with love and care, and that you would do the same. They could be boarded elsewhere if need be.

The upstairs apartment is bright and spacious feeling. It is about 760 sq ft, with lots of natural light. Queen bed in bedroom, and a sleeper sofa that is more comfortable if used with the mattress placed upon the floor, than it is used in the structure of the sofa. Great kitchen, fully equipped.

The lower apartment is the smaller of the three at about 450 sq ft. It is a one bedroom with king sized bed, a twin day bed in the living room.

About us

I am a retired professional woman who has lived in Mexico for 4 years. I am originally from California, USA. My daughter is a film editor, and my son is a geologist, and has 2 young children. I have built my home and my retired life in beautiful San Miguel de Allende, Mexico, a UNESCO world heritage site. I have an art studio and enjoy painting. When I built my home, I also built two guest apartments, so there are many different possibilities for exchange and much flexibility for timing.
